Briefly... Maureen Gallaccio @ The Mill

1 Please tell us about the work you will be showing in the 2012 E17 Art Trail?
GIFTED at the Mill - lt has 51 pieces  of work, one person one piece. We have pieces from major professional artists  -  to pieces from members of the same family; father and daughter,  Dom and Anna Reece (8). This is their second year with us;  Father and son, Jason and Hew Hawkridge (4); mother and son, Karen and `Edward Haskett (5) We have several pictures of exotic birds! Mo Morris has a piece up in GIFTED as well.

2 Is this your first time in the Trail or are you an E17 Art Trail veteran?
This is the second year for The Mill.

3 What are the challenges of getting everything ready for your Art Trail event?

Getting everyone to deliver their work on time ! The very last piece came in as we were typing up the catalogue...

4 Do you remember the first artist that really influenced you? Does that artist’s influence still have an impact on your work?
I am a relief print maker - I started learning when I moved here about 5 years ago - Anna and Kirsten taught me - I'm a great admirer of their work.

5 The E17 Art trail has become bigger every year. Do you think it is because more artists are calling it home?
More and more artists are gaining confidence to join in and be part of it.

6 What has E17 bestowed on you?
A logistical nightmare ! HOW am I going to get round and see all the amazing work in the time!
