Alison Brown - Visiting the William Morris Gallery
Anyone who missed the Quilt exhibition at the V&A, can still enjoy Global Neighbourhood and Ocean Sea World made by Bees Knees quilters at Priory Court Community Centre.
They demonstrate how Walthamstow residents a re representatives of everywhere in the world. The quilts are real international works of art.
Opposite them are MarieAnn-Art’s restful reflections of nature, but the other end are some dramatic tee-shirts by Sba Shaikh.
Going through to the pre-Raphaelites, nobody should miss inspecting the cabinet with Alice Mara’s china boxes full of pictures of houses inside and out, .
Outside in the Aviary in Lloyd Park, the interesting interpretation of Icarus makes a good ending to an interesting visit.
