E17 Designers Trail diary

We are trailed out already by three days on the trail –Thursday night saw us at 11: Ms Wandas Pop Up Shop and Tokarska, E17 Art House, Mitre Studios, Paekakariki Press (Launch of the Poetry Trail-Poetry is the new rock and roll?) then Ye Old Rose and Crown...over 50 previews and we only made 6 (in under 2 hours with kids in tow
though...)

We cheated on Friday by cycling all round town with our flyers, then sat in Healing Gems garden drinking tea, then the Village pub garden drinking lime and soda...sorry! - but to make up for it we did Saturday morning on the town square at the Hub, forcing guides on people, seeing off the Bike Trail, then a hot afternoon via the Mill, the Drive (Sister Corita rocks, lovely Drawing Shed people), then launch of Image 17 at Chestnuts...oh then the Rose again...

Sunday saw us at the Farmers Market, flyering then sheltering in the Library..then off to Dr Knit, via Danny's Blue Plaques, and a charming chain mail (male?) in 94: Lusty Ladybird Collective. Home for tea then St Barnabas church for gorgeous textiles (Kirsten Schmidt) and atmospheric images from Paul Tucker, and dear Vintage Inspiration around the corner (Suffolk puffs galore!) Back to the Blue Plaques (who called English Heritage?) and some architectural hot-spots with Paul Lindt, just making In between two sounds, and back to the Rose.

Visit the  E17 Designers Market on Sunday 11th September, 2-6pm, Asian Centre, 18a Orford Road and check out their lovely new website here.
